Pippa’s Portrait Studio (2010)

This event was part of the Kurb Performance Perennial in May, 2010. People were invited off William Street, Northbridge, into the Kurb Gallery in between other performances to have their portrait taken. This was on a Friday evening. On Saturday I printed the photographs and then on Sunday I put them on the wall so that people could see them and individual subjects could take their prints home. I used a 50 mm lens and in most cases only took three bracketted shots of each person. I had one very basic light and a reflector. The aim was to get some practice at photographing people. Some of the portraits appear below, along with some installation shots and other shots of preparation for the KPP. (All images on this page © Pippa Tandy.)
