When I woke up in Bordertown I could hear the trucks moving on the highway so I knew the petrol pumps were working again, and the power was on. I set off for Victoria, listening to the car radio for weather warnings. Although there was wild weather forecast for Victoria, it wasn’t too bad. The roads were wet and potholed, so I was careful. Again, I couldn’t stop to look at the scenery, but passed lots of beautiful places. The sun came out as I hit the M8, and I knew I was nearly at my new home.
